SMF - PET PACKINGING TECHNOLOGY

PET blowing mould is necessary in PET bottles manufacturing process - it allows to PET preforms to be formed into desirable bottle design. Cost-efficiency in the production of PET bottles starts with the bottle's design. The bottle design has to be optimally matched to the production process - to the type of PET blowing machine and filling, labeling and packaging equipment.

Steps in producing blow mould:

1. sizes of the bottles and requirements for the bottle in regard to brand identity and consumption
2. kind of beverage to be packed in the bottles
3. kind of preforms to be used in production process (neck finish, weight, wall thickness, preform length))
4. visualization of the bottle concept - SMF engineers prepare 2D and 3D bottle view, with all the parameters (dimensions, neck size, preform weight, filling level)
5. if applicable - customer comments to the proposed bottle design and correction of the drawing
6. customer acceptance of the final bottle design by accepting the bottle drawing with all features
7. production of the moulds including test production of bottles - from the PET preforms which will be used by customer by serial production at his premises
8. bottle samples are precisely checked with the requirements given by the customer -according accepted drawing - all main dimensions, bottle capacity, filling level, top-load, etc.
